Reno Omokri, a former social media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has said the results uploaded on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Results Viewing Portal (IREV), show that the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, might have won the majority of the votes in Rivers State.

Omokri, in a videographic, showed the various ward-level results for Obio Akpor, which is the local government of Governor Nyesom Wike.

The manual collation of the results from IREV put the Labour Party ahead with a lead of more than 70,000 votes, and the APC trailing behind with about 12,000 votes.

But in the results announced by INEC, APC was allocated over 80,000 votes while Labour Party was given less than 4,000 votes.

TheNiche had on March 6. also reported that the result viewing portal of INEC shows completely different results from what INEC announced for the Obio-Akpor local government area of Rivers State.

Wike, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who expressed sympathy for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the presidential poll, recently boasted that he and other members of the G-5, the group of governors opposed to their party’s presidential candidate, agreed that in their respective states, they must ensure that Labour Party and the APC come either first or second.

Recall that Obio-Akpor collation officer for the presidential election, Charles Adias, after alleging a threat to his life, announced that Tinubu scored the majority of votes in the local government with 80,239 votes, followed by Labour Party flagbearer, Peter Obi, who polled 3,829 votes while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, got 368 votes.

Obi has also confirmed that Wike worked against him during a live television interview. Obi said he won Rivers State by more than 50 per cent in the real vote count.
