Majority Leader in the House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, has announced to his supporters that anyone who fails to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, should be dealt with.

The 57-year-old lawmaker is representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency.

In the video shared on the Twitter handle of Leadership Newspaper (@LeadershipNGA), two men behind the lawmaker tried to convince him not to continue with the violent rhetoric.

He said in Hausa: “Ranar zabe, ko ka zabe APC ko ka chi ubanka.” When roughly translated, it means: “On election day, it is either you vote APC or be dealt with.”

Doguwa continued with the rant severally and even asked his audience to echo it, which they gladly chanted until a man behind the lawmaker whispered some words into his ears.

Recall that all the political parties and their presidential candidates signed a peace pact aimed at ensuring a rancour-free and fair campaign devoid of acrimony. Ado Doguwa’s rant appears to contravene the pact.
