Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has told his supporters to vote candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the February 25 and March 11 elections.
Seyi Makinde belongs to the G-5, a group of governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in opposition to the presidential candidate of their party.
Recall that during Seyi Makinde’s campaign flag off last week, the de-facto leader of the G-5, Nyesom Wike, who is the governor of Rivers State, told PDP supporters in Oyo to vote all the PDP candidates contesting for State House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate and the Governor. He, however, exempted the presidential candidate of the PDP in his list of those to be elected, saying: “Seyi (Makinde) will tell you who to vote for in the presidential election.” But the crowd immediately turned against the Rivers State Governor by chanting “Atiku, Atiku, Atiku…”
