The Obidients, as some supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi love to call themselves, took to the the streets of Abuja in solidarity with his presidential quest.
Some prominent public figures also featured in the rally which included Ken Asogwa and human rights lawyer Abdul Mahmud. A newly wedded couple also joined the rally.
The marchers were in their thousands as they trooped out to demonstrate their support for the Labour Party’s presidential candidate.
The Obi’s supporters marched from Unity Fountain to the Moshood Abiola National Stadium and subsequently City Gate in the country’s capital Abuja.

Since clinching the Labour Party’s presidential ticket, Obi’s supporters have been marching across the country to show his popularity among Nigerians.
Recall that the political establishment across party lines has argued forcefully that Obi lack the structures to win the next year’s poll. The marches appear to be an attempt to prove naysayers that Obi has the momentum to win the 2023 presidential poll.
