VIDEO: My wife as Appeal Court President helped some of you, Senator Bulkachuwa shocks Lawan

At the Valedictory Session of the 9th Senate, Senator representing Bauchi North, Adamu Bulkachuwa, expressed thanks to his wife, the ex Appeal Court President, Zainab Bulkachuwa, for allowing him encroach on her independence.
Bulkachuwa is the husband of former President of the Court of Appeal (PCA), Zainab Bulkachuwa. She retired as the (PCA) on March 5, 2020.
Senator Bulkachuwa’s revelation came as a shock to his colleagues, especially Senate President Ahmed Lawan.
As he appeared to be progressing on what the Senate President feared would be a major embarrassment, he interrupted him.
Senator Bulkachuwa, who is the chairman of Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs,
had said during the valedictory of the 9th Senate. “I want to particularly thank my wife whose freedom and independence I encroached upon while she was in office.
“She has been very tolerant and accepted my encroachment and extended her help to my colleagues…..”
At this point, Lawan stopped the Senator from proceeding with his line of thought.
Lawan said: “Ah Distinguished, I don’t think It’s a good Idea going this direction.”
Bulkachuwa was elected to the Upper Chamber on the platform of APC in 2019.
He later broke ranks with his party and joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after failing to clinch the senatorial ticket of the APC.
