Ex-Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, smartly walked away from what appeared to be an embarrassing situation after spotting his companions being barred from entering a particular gate at the Aso Rock Villa.

The incident occurred yesterday when Wike, who was in the company of the former governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, and the ex-Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio, visited the Villa.

They were in the company of Vice President Kashim Shettima, strolling out after a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu.

In a video of the mild drama, Shettima was seen walking majestically with Akpabio trailing behind closely, while Wike, who has been in the Villa thrice in the last seven days, was sauntering behind with Umahi.

All seemed to be going well until Shettima made a detour and passed through a particular gate. An attempt by Akpabio to continue with the Vice President through that gate was rebuffed by security men.

Once Wike noticed the awkward situation, he increased his pace and walked past Umahi and Akpabio as though they were never together, even when the duo appeared confused and wondering why they were given such cold treatment.
