VIDEO: Massive crowd as Obi holds campaign rally finale in Lagos

Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, will today hold his grand finale campaign rally at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) in Lagos.

Obidients, as supporters of Obi are called, are already mobilising to the venue in large numbers. Some of them trekking to the venue in a procession, while others in buses.

Lagos appears to be the epicenter of the Obidients, with many polls indicating that he stands a chance of winning the state. However, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, whose stronghold is Lagos, may put up a strong fight to avoid being embarrassed in his state.

Obi is already leading in many polls, including the latest by global media giant, Bloomberg. Although his opponents have dismissed the poll on the ground that it is not reflective of Nigeria’s voting pattern, the Lagos rally may be an avenue for Obidients to show their street acceptance.

The presidential election, just 14 days away, will be one of the most keenly contested since the inception of the fourth republic in 1999. The frontrunners are Tinubu of the APC, Atiku of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Obi of the Labour Party.
