Fayose

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, went on the offensive during a live TV interview when he was accused by Arise News Anchor, Rufai Oseni, of being heard in a secret recording in 2014 hatching an election rigging plot.

Rufai made the claim after Fayose finished praising the election that produced the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the President- Elect.

Fayose had dismissed the allegations about the malpractices around the presidential election, arguing that it was one of the most credible.

Rufai, in a prelude to his question to Fayose, said the former Ekiti Governor was secretly recorded in 2014 hatching a rigging plot when he was governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He then asked Fayose if Nigeria should continue in that trajectory of election rigging.

Fayose then hit back at Rufai, saying as journalist, he doesn’t live above board.

He accused Rufai for breaking traffic rules in Lagos and being confrontational when the police confronted him.

He added that before accepting the invitation to appear on Arise TV, Fayose said he complained to Reuben Abati about Rufai.

But when Rufai claimed that Fayose doesn’t have the full story of the traffic situation, and that he had a right to reply, Fayose refused to let him speak.
