Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, spared no punches against his rival in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying ‘everyone knows where I schooled, unlike some others.’
Obi, a guest of the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, gave the jibe during a project commissioning today, November 17.
Tinubu’s educational claim, especially his primary and secondary school, has been a subject of controversy. There have been insinuations that his claim of attending Government College Ibadan was false. To quell the controversy, many have asked him to name some of his schoolmates. He has not.

Playing on that controversy, Obi, who seeks to displace Tinubu and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, for the top job, quipped: “Peter Odili was my senior at (CKC), we played football together. If Odili is not able to play, just know we have lost that day. Everyone knows where I schooled and my schoolmates. Not some people that no one knows their schoolmates or the schools they attended.”
