A member of the defunct All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in 2023, Jesutega Onokpasa, has trashed the inner circle of the president, saying Lagos is not Nigeria.
Onokpasa in a video which former chairman of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Professor Chidi Odinkalu, shared on his X handle, accused members of President Tinubu’s team of parasiting him.
He said: “Mr President, most of us supported you because of what you did in Lagos. But you see what you did in Lagos, you mobilised Lagosians to fix Lagos. But you cannot mobilise Lagosians to fix Lagos. You will have to mobilise Nigerians to fix Nigeria. So, you cannot form the core of a team that is basically a Lagos team to fix Nigeria. That is mathematically incongruous.”
He asked Tinubu to dismantle the Lagos team, calling them ‘useless,’ and set up a core Nigerian team.
