Berekete TV founder alerts FCT Police Command how its officers forgot walkie talkie in car of man they extorted

The founder of Berekete TV, Ahmed Isa, has disclosed how policemen attached to the Federal Capital Territory Command forgot a walkie talkie in the vehicle of a man they extorted.
Ahmed Isa made the revelation on Monday while hosting the Berekete show, a human rights advocacy programme. He said he would not feature the victim of the policemen in his programme to protect the man from attack.
According to Isa, the man that was extorted was leaving a filling station where he had gone to buy fuel only for policemen to intercept him.
He said they asked for the car papers, which he showed them.
According to Isa, the policemen after inspecting the vehicle, told the man that one of his tires was bad. They demanded a bribe, according to Isa, who said the man tried appealing to them that even the fuel he bought was with borrowed money to enable him to do some work. They later settled for N1,000 bribe.
When the policemen left, the cab driver realized they forgot their walkie talkie in his car. He took the walkie talkie to Berekete TV.
Isa urged the FCT Police Command to audit the walkie talkie of all its men to fish out those who extorted the cab driver.
