Super Eagles and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen has rejected a transfer offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli. Despite signing a new contract in December 2023 with a €130 million release clause, no offers have met that amount.

On Sunday, reports surfaced that Al Ahli had submitted a €70 million bid for the Nigerian striker, an offer Napoli was reportedly considering. However, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Monday that the 25-year-old declined the proposal.

Romano stated that Osimhen demanded both a significant salary and the inclusion of a release clause, emphasizing that the latter was non-negotiable. Without these conditions, the deal would not proceed.

Osimhen has been training separately from his Napoli teammates this summer, and speculation continues about his future, with a potential move expected before the transfer window closes.
