Veteran Actress, Madam Saje, regrets inability to speak English 

Madam Saje also said she couldn’t attain secondary school education because she began acting shortly after her primary school education in 1975

Veteran Nollywood actress, Fausat Balogun, better known as Madam Saje has opened up on some of her regrets while chatting with her fans on a social media platform. 

The seasoned actress, who acts mainly in Yoruba movies, took to her  Instagram page to share a video, which she tagged, ‘Things you wouldn’t know about me’.

According to Madam Saje, she didn’t attain secondary school education because she started her acting career shortly after her primary school education in 1975.

The ace actress, also said her father initially kicked against her decision but eventually supported her, while adding that she has not been able to further her education since then. 

She said, “I started my acting career in 1975 immediately after my primary school education and since then I haven’t been able to further my education.

“My dad initially never supported my acting interest, but he started changing his mind after he saw me in a Theatre Performance on NTA (NTA was a major TV network back then).”

The popular thespian went on to say 

her decision not to go beyond primary education affected her inability to speak good English and ultimately hindered her acting career, as she was unable to play roles in English movies.

She, however, got consoled by the highly educated and amazing people God has used to bless her in the movie industry, despite the limitations caused by her lack of education. 

Madam Saje continued, “However, whenever I remember the countless amount of highly educated and amazing people God has used me to bring into the industry, I feel fulfilled.

“Do I regret not furthering my education? Sometimes I do, especially when I have opportunities to feature in English speaking movies, but I remember my limitations”
