VeryDarkMan protests absence of Bobrisky at House of Reps investigative hearing on bribery, says ‘If I say anything, let me die’

Social critic, Vincent Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), on Monday expressed his frustration with the House of Representatives following the absence of the controversial cross-dresser Bobrisky and the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at a scheduled hearing.

The lower legislative chamber had summoned VDM, Bobrisky, and the EFCC boss over allegations of a N15 million bribe.

Recall that VDM shared a recording allegedly featuring Bobrisky’s voice in which the cross-dresser reportedly claimed to have paid EFCC officials N15 million to drop a money laundering charge against him in April of this year.

This and other claims in the post sparked widespread reactions across the country.

In response, the lawmakers summoned the involved parties, but only VDM appeared.

Speaking at the National Assembly complex, VDM vowed not to make any statement until the other parties were present, saying, “If I say anything, let me die.”

A lawyer who announced representation for Bobrisky, claimed his client was sick and won’t be able to appear at the hearing.
