The 23-year-old shot-stopper made 11 saves and only conceded an additional time goal in the 93rd minute when Christiano Ronaldo finally put the ball past him.

Although it was only his second appearance in the competition for the Cypriot club this season, he surely gave them value for their money.

As a result of his performance, the goalkeeper will now battle Vitor Oliveira, Joey Veerman, and William Boving for the Player of the Week award.

He is also in the running for the Save of the Day award along with Ugurcan Cakir, Kenan Piric, and Jorg Siebenhadhl.
