Utulu, a community in Abia State, will get a town hall which upon completion, will serve as an identity for the people
The people of Ututu resident in Umuahia have concluded plans to build a N50m town hall in Umuahia,the Abia State capital.
Consequently, they have scheduled a formal launching to raise the funds for the realization of the project.
In a statement issued in Umuahia by the chairman of Ututu Development Association, Umuahia Branch,Mr Cletus Nwankwo Okore and the chairman planning committee,Mr Innocent Kalu, the people announced Saturday, March 12,2022 as the date for the launch.

According to them, the Deputy chairman of Arochukwu LGA,Hon Cletus Kalu Nwankwo will serve as the chairman of the occasion while two illustrious sons of the community, Mr Kelechi Okafor Ogbonnaya,a Lagos based business man and Chief Stephen Nwankwo Ukpabi will be the chief launchers.
Other prominent launchers are an Umuahia based timber merchant,Mr Uka Okore Ogbonnaya,Dr Sam Anya, Barr Chijioke Isiolu and Dr Anuma Ulu.
According to the statement, the Chairman of Arochukwu LGA, Hon Prince Dan Kalu Orji is the special guest while another illustrious son of Ututu and Provost of Abia state College of Education, Technical, Arochukwu,Dr Phillips Nto is the chief guest of honour.
It noted that the project which had been on the drawing board since the creation of Abia state, will on completion,serve as an identity for the people as well as generate fund for the community.
The statement noted that the project is for all Ututu people and not for only those resident in Umuahia, the statement called for a collaborative effort towards the realization of the project.
