Newly crowned boxing heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usky has said he won the bout against defending champion, Tyson Fury because Jesus Christ intervened, describing him “as his lord”.
The Ukrainian boxer made this known following a split-decision win over Fury on Sunday at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
According to Usky, Jesus gave him a gift during his match with British heavyweight boxer.
Fury began well but was given a standing 10 count and saved by the bell after an Usyk onslaught in the ninth round.

Two of the judges gave scorecards of 115-112 and 114-113 to the Ukrainian, while a third judge opined Fury won the fight 114-113.
However, while the tense wait for the scorecards went on, Fury appeared convinced he won the fight, but it was the stoney-faced Usyk who broke down in tears after he was confirmed as the winner.
Speaking after the match at the ringside, after he was declared the new heavyweight champion, he admitted his victory was aided by God.
Usyk said: “I thank God for the help he gave me today because he did give me a lot today. My lord is Jesus Christ.”
