The world cup qualifying matches between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Central African Republic (CAR) on paper are not expected to be very difficult for the Nigerian side.

This is because Nigeria posseses one of the most talented squad in Africa, and they also lead the group with 6 points in two games, while CAR is at the bottom of same group with just a point.

Despite these, Former Eyinmba and Kwara United coach, Samson Unuanel has warned the Nigerian players not to underate their CAR counterparts in the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers.

In an interview with Completesports.com, Unuanel applauded the squad assembled for the double-header by Super Eagle’s coach, Gernot Rohr and opined they are good enough for the assignment

He went further to urged the Nigerian side not to get complacent because of the quality of opposition they are facing.

“Rohr has done a good job with the players he has invited for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against CAR. I can’t really find any loopholes in that team but then, we just have to approach the game with a sense of seriousness.

“The players must not undermine the CAR team because in football anything is possible. I am optimistic the team will pick the maximum point against CAR in both legs.” Unuanel said.

Nigeria will be without two key midfielders, Wilfred Ndidi and Oghenekaro Etebo, who are currently nursing injuries, they are however, expected to pass the test in flying colours despite the set back.
