Ukwa community protests alleged murder of daughter by Chinese boss, seeks justice

The people of Ukwa, the oil community in Abia State have raised alarm and protested over what they described as an intentional murder of one of their daughters, Miss Ochieze who was until her untimely death, a staff of a Chinese owned Galaxy Company.

According to the report:, Miss Ochieze died in Inner Galaxy Company after being pushed by her Chinese Boss from the Crane.

“A young girl named OCHIEZE who worked with Inner Galaxy Company situate at Umuahala and Umuorie Communities of Asa, otherwise known as Ukwa West Local Government Area, Abia State was reported to have died after her Chinese Boss allegedly pushed her from a Crane”, it was stated

On hearing the ugly incident on Miss Ochieze who hails from Umuahala Asa, the youths of her community stormed the Company on Monday on 20th May, 2024 to protest her death, but the security men at the Company prevented, harassed and intimidated the youths.

Upon the sad development, the youths are therefore calling on the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, the member representing Ukwa East/West in the House of Representatives Hon.. Chris Nkwonta, Chief Dimgba Eruba, Commissioner representing Abia State in the Board of NDDC, member representing Ukwa West State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly Hon.. Godwin Adiele, TC Chairman/Mayor of Ukwa West L.G.A, Hon. Newman Azu, all present and former political appointees of Asa extraction, Asa Development Union(ADU), the Inspector General of Police, Civil Right Organisation, and other sympathetic Nigerians to help bring the perpetrator of the heinous crime to justice.
