Uju Ohanenye steps down, backs Tinubu

The only female All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant, Barrister (Mrs) Uju Kennedy Ohanenye, has dropped out of the race.

Ohanenye, who announced her withdrawal from the race at the party’s special convention at the Eagle Square, Abuja, said she stepped down for former Lagos State governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu because he has the experience to move the nation forward.

She called her on her supporters to cast their votes for Tinubu.

Ohanenye said; “Nigeria needs a mother and that is why I have come. I love you all. I am pleading with all the delegates to know that their votes are life savers. We have our children and nation to think of. Let them try and vote right for the brighter future of our children.

Meanwhile, more aspirants have stepped down for the National leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in the ongoing party’s presidential primary.

Senator Ajayi Robert Boroface, who had earlier delivered his speech, came back to say that he is stepping down for Tinubu.

He called on his supporters to vote for Tinubu.

Also Governor of Jigawa State, Mohammed Badaru, who had earlier withdrawn from the race told his supporters to cast their votes for Tinubu.
