Popular Nigerian record producer and singer, Chisom Faith, better known as Rexxie, has been arrested in Uganda.

He made this known on Monday morning via his Instagram page, saying he is being held by the Ugandan Immigration.

However, the ‘KKP’ crooner did not disclose the reason for his arrest which he described as “unfair.”

While calling for help, the popular producer urged his fans to demand for his release with the hashtag, “UgandaFreeRexxie.”

Speaking on his social media page, he wrote, “I’ve been arrested at the Ugandan Immigration.

“Pls I need help.”

Rexxie is not the first Nigerian singer to be detained in Uganda. About three years ago, Omah Lay and Tems were arrested and charged to court before being remanded in prison in the same country.

The artistes were detained for making an appearance at a concert held in the country at Speke Resort, Kampala, on Saturday, 12th of December, 2020, despite COVID-19 social distancing regulations.

They were, however, later released after spending two days in jail.
