“He has, hasn’t he proven our stamina and strength as a people”, Tunji Abayomi maintained.

Abayomi has consistently praised Akeredolu’s performance as Governor of Ondo State.

During the re-election campaign for Akeredolu in the year 2020, Abayomi said that Akeredolu has performed in all sectors of the economy within three and half years of his first term in office.

His words: “My standing is very simple. I am supporting Akeredolu based on objective assessment. I believe he has tried for the people of Ondo State.

“Looking at his achievements in terms of road construction, promotion of agriculture, facilitation of medical services, largely innovations – for example, modular refineries for bitumen”, he said.

Abayomi also commended the efforts of the governor in stabilizing the Adekunle Ajasin University as the institution was in a dire need of massive intervention.

According to him, through these conscious efforts of the Governor, the University retained its status as one of the best state’s run universities in the country.

He explained that the Akeredolu led administration is doing all it can to ensure the full repositioning of the University and as such there was no need in changing a winning team.
