Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Bamanga Tukur, has called on Muslims to join hands with the federal government to ensure the corporate existence of a peaceful and united Nigeria.

He explained in a Sallah message that insecurity affects all and sundry because no development can take place where security is not guaranteed.
He urged Muslims to use the Sallah period to preach peace and love so that the unity of the country will be paramount in the minds of citizens.
Tukur, who is also Nigeria’s Ambassador-at-Large, stressed that Nigerians have no other country and should stand up and support the government of the day both in time of jubilation and tribulation.
He said President Goodluck Jonathan has shown enough commitment to the unity and welfare of the country and all that is required is support from citizens.
