Ace Nigerian singer and songwriter, Innocent Idibia, better known as Tuface has urged the Nigerian Police to release popular rapper, Panshak Henry Zamani a.k.a Ice Prince, from their custody.
Ice Prince was arrested on Friday, September 2, 2022, and charged with driving without a license plate and assaulting a police officer.
The Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, later took to Twitter to allege the rapper, when stopped, agreed to be taken to the Police Station but abducted the police officer, assaulted him and threatened to throw him off a cliff of a river.
He wrote, “At 3am today, @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station.
“He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today.”

The ‘Oleku’ crooner was subsequently arraigned before the court by the Lagos State Police Command on the same day on a three-count charge of assault, obstructing a policeman from carrying out his statutory duties and abduction.
The Magistrate on the singer’s case, Taiwo Oyaniyi, however, granted him bail in the sum of N500,000, adding that he would reside in Ikoyi prison until his bail conditions were met
Tuface, who was unhappy with the development, later took to social media to protest and asked for the release of his colleague.
He wrote, “@Nigerianpolice has it become a crime to be a young person in this country? Every protest and struggle is also for you to have better pay and equipment and proper retirement benefits. #FREEICEPRINCE.” (sic)
