Former President of the United States, Donald Trump has revealed that a bullet from the shot fired by the man who attempted to assassinate him pierced his upper right ear.
The 45th US president made this known on Sunday in a statement he issued and made available to journalists.
His claim followed the shooting incident at his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania which left one person dead and another seriously injured.
The Republican presidential candidate also disclosed in the statement that the injury he sustained during the incident caused him much bleeding and thanked the US Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement agents for saving his life.
“I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania,” Trump said.

He went on to express his condolences to the families of the victims stating, “Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured.”
Trump’s statement further revealed that the shooter is now dead, though he added, “Nothing is known at this time about the shooter.”
Meanwhile, President Joe Biden and former President Barack Obama have issued statements condemning the violence and wishing Trump a speedy recovery.
Biden in a statement after the shooting said, “I have been briefed on the shooting at Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania.
He added, “Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety. There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it.”
