Former United States President and Republican candidate in the November presidential election, Donald Trump has expressed his sudden hatred for popular singer, Taylor Swift.
TheNiche had earlier reported that the pop star endorsed the presidential ambition of US Vice president, Kamala Harris on Tuesday night after her high-stakes debate against Trump.
Swift said in a post on Instagram after the debate, “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election.
“I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”
Swift’s endorsement drove thousands of people to a federal voter registration site, but the results of the poll released Sunday morning was the first major poll to get at Swift’s impact.
The poll, which had 3,276 adult respondents, was conducted online from September 11 to 13 2024, with 81% of respondents said the endorsement made no difference in their likelihood of voting for Harris.
8% of women under 30 said they were more likely to support Harris, 13% said they were less likely and 78% said it made no difference.
Reacting to the development on Sunday,
September 15, on social media platform, TRUTH social, Trump posted; “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT.”
