A statement by the Brigade on Sunday noted that the group of gunmen operated in Tai Local Government Area (LGA) of the state in south-south Nigeria.

The attackers were said to have shot sporadically and harassed innocent motorists.

The Army officials promptly intervened by engaging the gunmen, killing two of them and thereafter, re-opened the road.

Items recovered from the group during the operation include: an AK 47 rifle, one FN rifle, a G3 rifle and three Dane guns.
