The Nigerian military have cleared about eight terrorists camps in parts of Borno State, in their determined efforts of removing the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists there.
The Director of Army Public Relations (DAPR), Col. Sani Usman, stated that the troops of 156 Task Force Battalion of 29 Task Force Brigade, in conjunction with Civilian JTF and the local vigilante in the area, in the early hours of Friday, conducted a clearance operation in Yajiwa in Alagarno forest.
Usman said during the operation, eight Boko Haram terrorists camps beyond Yajiwa were cleared.
He said that the team recovered several items from the camps.
“Others are damaged mine detector, a vehicle and a camel bag,” he stated.
The DAPR said the troops also recovered a vehicle top cylinder, a 19.5 tyre rim and four size13 tyre rims.
He listed others to include a 19.5 rim tyre, three tyre jacks, two motorcycle tyres and two solar panels, as well as two small generators, a grinding machine, three water pumping machines, Namsac sprayer and a bag of fried groundnut cake.
