Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Toyin Abraham has chastised Lagos State Government for its failure to install CCTV in the BRT bus.
Public condemnations have trailed the murder of Bamise Ayanwole, a 22-year-old female fashion designer who lost her life after boarding a Lagos State Government-owned BRT bus.
The 39-year-old actress took to her Instagram page on Tuesday, to protest what she considered government insensitivity to the safety of its citizens, especially keeping the BRT buses safe.

She asked the government why it failed to install CCTV in the buses and wanted to know the steps it has taken since the incident occurred.
She wrote, “It is sad enough that Nigeria is not safe but to think that a place or thing considered as government property like BRT is now considered a dangerous place should get all of us concerned.
“But I have a few questions for Lagos State Government, why are the BRT buses not fitted with CCTV cameras?
“What measure have you put in place since this incident that made you assure Lagosians that the BRT buses are now safe? Are we truly safe or your speech is just government rhetoric, telling us what we want to hear?”
Abraham went on to advise Lagosians to remain vigilant and security conscious as they go about their daily activities.
She added, “Lagosians, please be careful, we cannot move about like everything is okay. Things are not okay if we are not safe inside government buses.”
She also offered prayers and words of encouragement to the family of the deceased, offering to be of help when needed.
“And to the family of Ayanwole Oluwabamise, I sympathize with you.
“Some of us will reach out to see how you can go through this phase with some measure of ease-no easy way of grieving. May God truly console you. This is such a sad incident!” Abraham concluded.
