Toni Kroos says he’s happy with his decision to quit Real Madrid

Germany midfielder, Toni Kroos has insisted that he does not regret his decision to part ways with La Liga giants, Real Madrid.

He made this known on Sunday while Madrid players were parading their  Champions League trophy at the Cibeles square in Madrid, Spain.

Kroos played his last match for the Los Blancos during their Champions League final victory against Borussia Dortmund at the Wembley Stadium.

Prior to this, the 34-year-old German
had announced that he will be retiring from professional football after this summer’s UEFA Euro 2024.

Speaking during the cup parade, Toni Kroos was quoted by Madrid Zone to have said, “I am going to miss you [Real Madrid fans] a lot.

“I am happy with my decision. I enjoyed every single minute of these 10 years.

“I will miss a lot of things, no doubt. I am happy with my decision. The Bernabeu is my home. Real Madrid fans are the best in the world.”

Real Madrid won their 15th Champions League trophy on Saturday night in London.
