The controversy surrounding Tiwa Savage’s sex tape has not yet waned when she released a collab with R&B crooner, Brandy, raking 1.5 million Youtube views within the first 20 hours it was premiered. This means an estimated 80,000 people visit her Youtube page every one hour to view the hit song “Somebody Son Go Love Me One Day.”
About a week ago, Tiwa Savage had claimed that she was being blackmailed by someone who had access to her sex tape, a recording of her sexual activity with another man.
Some people claimed Tiwa Savage made up the story because at no time did she say that she reported the said blackmailer to the police. And with the release of the song “Somebody Son Go Love Me One Day,” some social media commenters are already alleging that the sex tape story may have been a media hype to usher the release of the song.
The song has become a major talking point on social media, trending on Twitter and becoming a top Google search item, especially because she featured an A-list American singer, Brandy, who was one of the biggest artists in the late 90s, with some of her hit songs; The Boy is Mine, I’m Gonne be Down, I’m your Afrodisiac and many others.
