Tinubu’s wife as pastor makes Muslim-Muslim ticket a none issue, says Orji Kalu

There have been reactions across board over the possibility of the APC fielding Muslim-Muslim ticket in the 2023 presidential election

The Senate Chief Whip, Orji Uzor Kalu, has said that there is no cause for alarm over the widely speculated alleged plan of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, to field a Muslim as his running mate.

Orji Kalu said Christians should relax because Tinubu’s wife is a Pastor and that makes a Muslim-Muslim ticket a none issue.

Tinubu is a Muslim but married to a Christian who is a Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

There have been reactions across board over the possibility of the APC fielding Muslim-Muslim ticket in the 2023 presidential election.

Reacting to the speculations, Kalu said the speculated Muslim-Muslim ticket should not threaten Christians.

Addressing journalists at the National Assembly on Wednesday, the Senate Chief Whip said: “Let me tell you, in my house, my wife is the head of the house in reality. Even you men that are here, now that your wives aren’t here, they are the head.

“Like if I wear these clothes, my wife will tell me ‘My dear, these clothe is not good remove them’. Your wife will tell you you are supposed to eat Akara and Akamu, whether you argue with her, you must take that Akamu and your wife want you to pay children’s school fees, whether you argue or not, you must pay.

“The Christians should relax because Tinubu’s wife is a pastor and once she’s a pastor we are protected because she’s not a housewife. She has political knowledge.”
