Senior Special Assistant to the President on Technical, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Education (SSAP-TVEE), Abiola Arogundade, has launched a new initiative, a monthly celebration of a TVEE Personality of the Month and a TVEE Contributor of the Month.
The launch came last weekend as the first phase of the Unlock Campaign initiated in mid-January came to a close.
According to Arogundade, while the TVEE Personality of the Month is an individual considered to have developed his or her skill from being underdeveloped to highly skilled, the TVEE Contributor of the Month will be an individual considered to have contributed greatly to the training of persons across the country.
Explaining the purpose of the initiative, the SSAP-TVEE said it is to give the individuals a platform to showcase to the world what they have been doing in the last few years and what they would continue to do in the future in the country.

Meanwhile, the second phase of the Unlock Campaign, which closed with a total of 10,000 entries from across the country, has begun with the shortlisting of entries to select the best 1,000 participants who will undergo a two-week online training on entrepreneurship.
The SSAP-TVEE who announced the formal closure of the first phase, said the online training would end with the writing of business plan and those adjudged to have written the best business plan would each receive a grant of N500,000 and startup kits to support them.
Thanking the participants for their zeal and enthusiasm as well as the numerous entries received across the country within the short period of the Campaign, Arogundade expressed delight that Nigerian youths, whom she described as inspiring, have by the outcome of the campaign, shown that Nigeria has great potentials for growth and development.
