Former deputy national chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olabode George, has accused a national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, of imposing his children on Nigerians.
In an interview on Arise Television, October 30, Bode George, a retired Naval officer and former military administrator of Ondo State, said it was an irony that Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, a daughter of Tinubu, was selected as the Iyaloja (mother of market women) when she has no single stall in any of the Lagos markets.
“We knew what happened. They manipulated it. It has nothing to do with a personal thing. It is an observation. If I’m wrong, let him come and tell me that she was duly elected because she has a stall at Gbaja, or Isale Eko or has a stall in Mainland. Where is her stall?” he queried.
Bode George also wondered why a son of the APC leader, Seyi Tinubu, would be granted a monopoly on billboard advertising in Lagos State.
“Now, the other boy, Seyi, he controls the whole signage for Lagos. Anybody who wants to put up advert on any signboard would go to his company alone. Is that justifiable? Does that make any sense? And you think people would not know?
“The first Shopping mall which was a pride to all of us, was constructed by Mobolaji Johnson during his tenure. They demolished it. You know what is there now, Seyi Tinubu is keeping his private personal horses there. What kind of madness is that?
“Look at the end of Awolowo road there, the nursing home. We can’t even train nurses anymore in Lagos state. The greed to too much. It is humongous, it is unacceptable, it is terrible. Look at even our Lagoon. They have sand filled everything. Come to my house when it rains, water would be streaming from the back of the house, straight through the living quarters,” he said.
