Edwin Clark warned Tinubu, against contesting in the 2023 presidential election, saying he lacks the intelligence of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo

Elder statesman and leader of Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, Edwin Clark has warned Bola Tinubu, an All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant against contesting for President in 2023.

Edwin Clark delivered the warning to Tinubu on Thursday during an interview on Arise TV.

He says Tinubu should ‘go and rest’ instead of contesting for the 2023 presidency.

Edwin Clark says he  would rather vote for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to become Nigeria’s next President than Tinubu.

Edwin Clark described Osinbajo as an intelligent man who has what it takes to lead Nigeria in 2023, and not Tinubu.

“The southwest is the most educated and sophisticated people in Nigeria, but Tinubu should go and rest. Other than the Igbos, I would vote for the Vice President; he is an intelligent fellow.

“How many times have we heard Tinubu talking about the affairs of this nation or criticising those in power?” he asked

Edwin Clark who believed that restructuring is the only way forward for development in Nigeria, had in October 2019 said,

“Without restructuring, no meaningful progress will be achieved in this country,” he said in reaction to the Independence Day speech by President Muhammadu Buhari.
