Tinubu narrowly defeats Peter Obi in Benue 

Tinubu, who is the APC candidate, polled a total of 310,468 votes and was followed by Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) who secured 308,372 votes

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Tinubu has won the presidential election in Benue State with a narrow margin.

This was made known by the returning officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Faruk Kuta, who announced the result on Monday at the INEC head office in Makurdi, the state capital.

According to him, Tinubu polled 310,468 votes and was followed by Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) who secured 308,372 votes.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came a distant third after pulling a total of 130,081 votes, while the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) scored 4,740 votes.
