President Bola Tinubu met with Real Madrid’s defender, David Alaba in France when he met with Nigerians in the diaspora.
The Nigerian president had travelled to France to attend the Global Financial Pact Summit, hosted by President Emmanuel Macron.
Alaba, whose parents are Nigerians, was born in Vienna, Austria to George Alaba, a prince from Ogere Remo, Ogun State.
Despite his Nigerian roots, the versatile former Bayern Munich defender opted to represent the Austrian national team rather than the Super Eagles
The 31-year-old has since his debut for the European nation made 101 appearances for them and scored 15 goals in the process.
Alaba during the visit, presented his Real Madrid jersey to the president who was elated to interact with him and other Nigerians at the event.

However, prior to this, Tinubu was hosted to a State Banquet in Paris, the capital of France by Macron.
While there, he met with the President of Swiss Confederation, Alain Berset where they discussed bi-lateral relations.
He also met with Sri Prakash Lohia, Chairman of Indorama. The Largest Independent Polymer Producer in the World.
The president went on to receive Odile Renaud-Basso, President of, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as Prof. Benedict Oramah, the President of AFREXIM Bank.
