Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has paid a courtesy visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Tinubu’s visit to the Presidential Library of Olusegun Obasanjo in Oke-Mosan, attracted scores of supporters of the APC in Ogun State, Wednesday.
Tinubu arrived at the Penthouse of Obasanjo in his chopper at about 1:09pm in company of some party leaders, including governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, former Governor Gbenga Daniel, his predecessor, Segun Osoba, and other Ogun State government functionaries.
Tinubu and Obasanjo have not been seen together after the former Lagos State governor escorted then APC presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari to visit the former president in his Abeokuta residence. Obasanjo threw his weight behind Muhammadu Buhari against his party, the PDP, by public shredding his party’s membership card.

Obasanjo later withdrew his support for Buhari after a scathing letter alleging that the president was pursuing a Fulanisation agenda.
Recall that Obasanjo a few weeks ago, received the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed in the Olusegun Obasanjo presidential Library.
There have been rumours that Obasanjo is backing the Labour Party presidential candidate, and helping to recruit governors and other top leaders in the country to back the ticket of Obi and Datti. No evidence has been provided to support the claim.
