Tinubu, who polled 421,390 votes to win the North West state, defeated his nearest rival, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar with a margin of 34,803

The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu has added Jigawa State to the states he has won so far.
The INEC resident electoral commissioner in the state, Muhammad Bashar, a professor, declared Tinubu as the winner at the state collation centre on Monday.
Tinubu polled a total of 421,390 votes to beat his nearest challenger and Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who polled 386,587 votes.

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) candidate, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso polled 98,234.
The candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi didn’t put up a good showing as he scored 1,889 votes.
