Ichie Tiko Okoye

TheNiche Management

Starting from Wednesday, February 16, 2022, Ichie Tiko Okoye will write for TheNiche.

His column is part of our strategic game plan to make TheNiche a medium of choice for you, our loyal readers.

Tiko Okoye is coming on the heels of Anthony Kila, professor of Strategy and Development, Director at the Centre for International Advanced and Professional Studies (CIAPS) and director of studies at the European Centre of Advanced and Professional Studies, who writes every Tuesday.

Azu Ishiekwene, renowned journalist, publisher of The Interview magazine and Editor-in-Chief of LEADERSHIP newspapers, writes on Thursdays.

With Dr Dakuku Peterside, former Rivers State Commissioner for Works, former member of the House of Representatives, former DG/CEO of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), a leadership and turnaround expert; oil and gas maritime resource person and founder of the Development and Leadership Institute of Nigeria (a non-governmental organization and development think tank) writing on Mondays, the idea is to assemble the best brains from different professional backgrounds that will dissect contending national and global issues every week and chart the way forward for our beleaguered country.

Tiko Okoye comes in the same mould. A veteran international banker with over 30 years’ experience in Nigeria and abroad, Tiko Okoye is a Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow of Boston University (USA) in Executive Banking, former CEO of three banks, a former town union president-general, a former columnist and member of the Editorial Board of the Daily Independent Newspaper, socio-politico-economic affairs commentator, an ordained cleric and financial inclusion expert.

To borrow a common parlance, the taste of the pudding is in the eating.

Tiko Okoye will serve us the first meal on Wednesday and it promises to be delicious.

Keep reading TheNiche newspaper. With our exclusive interviews and news reports and now top of the range columnists, it can only get better.
