A thunderstorm has reportedly killed three suspected kidnappers in Oro-Ago community in the Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The incident was said to have happened on Monday but the video of the scene as recorded by some inhabitants of the area came to public view on Wednesday.
In the video that has gone viral, the charred bodies of the victims who seemed to be young men in their twenties could be seen in what seems to be a forest.
It was learnt that prior to the incident, the axis where the alleged incident occurred had been under kidnapping attacks.
The three dead people were suspected to be members of a kidnaping team behind the attacks.
The video clip showed decomposing bodies of the three young men already burnt beyond recognition.

The voice in the short video clip said: “We’re members of the vigilante team in Igbomina Kwara. Our efforts against those perpetrating evil and kidnapping people in our area had yielded fruits. A Thunderstorm struck them dead. Three of them. God will continue to make us successful against the evil doers. We shall overcome them all by the grace of God. Thank you all.”
Also, another video clip showed some Fulani herders, said to be relatives of the victims of the thunderstorm, in a bush, bemoaning their loss. They ascribed the incident to an act of God that cannot be questioned by anyone, saying that a thunderstorm is from God and can never be man-made.
The state Police commissioner, Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi, said that the Command had already commenced investigation on the development.
