Police in Lagos State on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, killed two suspected armed robbers at Ire-Akari Estate, Isolo, Lagos.

The two suspects, operating in a motorcycle, allegedly robbed a man (names withheld), who was coming out from a commercial bank at Oke-Afa in Isolo.

Sources said that while the suspected robbers were fleeing with their loot, unknown to them, they were being trailed by commercial motorcyclists, who informed the Okota police patrol team. The source further said that the fleeing suspects, on sighting the police team, opened fire and were gunned down by the superior firepower from the gallant Police team.

While their corpses were dumped at Okota Police Station, it would be recalled that a similar incident happened at Oke-Afa last week Tuesday, when robbers on a motorcycle trailed a woman from a bank and shot her at a nearby church in the area. They collected her bag with money.
