Many fans of the Big Brother Nigeria season 6 “Shine Ya Eye” edition have frowned at the new twist Biggie introduced to the 9th week’s eviction.
Recall that four spots of the five in the final have been taken, and Biggie evicted five housemates.
But in a new twist to the eviction drama, Biggie still retained Pere and Angel, though technically evicted, in a place called “white room” to play a game against each other, with the winner earning the final spot.
Result of how viewers voted revealed that Saga got the least votes, as he gathered 1.95 per cent of the total votes, Nini was next to him with 2.16 per cent, while Queen did better than the duo, as she got 9.08 per cent of the total votes.
Angel got 14.63 per cent votes while Pere got 25.31 per cent votes. With the outcome showing Pere got more than a quarter of the total votes and was way ahead of Angel, a lot of fans who voted concluded the twist was designed to favour Angel.
Others, however, disagree, insisting that all is fair in the BBNaija reality TV show.
They contend that as long as Biggie dictates the rules of engagement, he is at liberty to change them at any point.
Those in this school of thought also argue that each housemate knew what he or she signed up for.
Some even argue that since Pere came in as a wild card, he benefitted from the uncertainty of the show too and shouldn’t complain when the rules do not favour him.
No matter what side we belong, one thing we can all agree to is the fact that the unpredictability of the show is part of the intrigues that makes it unique, interesting and keep us all glued to our TV sets.
TheNiche had earlier predicted that Saga, Nini, Queen and Angel will be evicted on Sunday, while White Money and Pere, will join the the three housemates who are already in the final.
