Our world is in need of a desperate change. Global economy is in chaos. Our world is faced with global security challenges. Food crisis and lack of water are life-threatening challenges, not only in Nigeria, but globally. There is fear everywhere. It was not so in the beginning! It must not remain so because you are here!
Our families need a change. The bedrock of our society is threatened by the forces of economic recession, globalisation and civilisation.
Everywhere you turn, there is problem. I went to bed last night with a distress call to my phone. I woke up this morning to another distress call. People have challenges. There are those believing God for marriage partners. There are those trusting God for children. People want jobs, and some, better jobs. There are people who cannot go back home because of fear and challenges. There is homelessness, fear and struggles.
Several people are unhappy and dissatisfied with life. You find people who look like they are alright, but not when you get close to them. I used to be like that before I met Christ. I seemed to have a thriving accounting firm. I had between 50 and 100 staff working for me. I had eight or nine cars! I lived in a nice apartment and everybody thought I was living fine. But deep within me were irritation, fear anxiety, tension and annoyance. I was fed up and tired of life. You probably might be going through the same thing, but that can change today.
The continent of Africa is bedevilled by poor leadership, and characterised by complaints and grievances. It is only in Africa that we produce what we cannot use, and so we send what we have to Europe where it is processed and sold back to the continent! In Nigeria, we import what we don’t need and export what we need. Africa needs a change and you can be that change agent to this decaying continent.
We must all agree that there must be change. We keep believing that somebody else or some fathom leader must bring about the change. Yes, it is possible for God to bring a leader, and He might, but the day we all agree that there must be a change, that day, change has begun. Change begins with only one man changing himself. We can be resolute for a change today and hope will be reborn in our nation.
You can start to change the world by changing your life. Change your behaviour, your home, your environment and your workplace. You cannot be living in a dirty and unkempt environment. That needs to change. You may not be able to change the whole world, but you can change your kitchen, your bathroom, your street, the way you speak, your attitude to life, and yourself. If you change yourself, the whole world will change. If you believe God for a change, it must start with you!
