The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Nasko Police station in Magama local government area of Niger state, CSP Umar Muhammed Dakin, and six others have been killed by terrorists who invaded the community.
The terroriststs invaded the Police station and began shooting while the Police DPO was trying to mobilize his men to repel the attack.
Two other Policemen and four vigilantes were among those who were killed as the terrorists made away with some arms.

It was learnt that the terrorists numbering over 500 invaded Nasko community and headed straight for the Police station while shooting to scare people away.
The Niger State Commissioner of Police, Monday Bala Kuryas, who confirmed the incident stressed that the terrorists were operating in Kebbi and strayed into Nasko to attack the police station.
He said that while the DPO was mobilizing his men, the bandits surrounded the police station and shot him and others.
The Niger State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Internal Security, Emmanuel Umar, also confirmed that seven people died in the attack saying that other security agencies have been mobilized and are trailing the terrorists.
