Nigerian-American singer, songwriter, and entertainer, Teniola Apata, professionally known as Teni has blasted those not happy with how she chose to help some of her followers.

Teni took to the microblogging platform, Twitter to call out the netizens, who she accused of trying to teach her how to spend her money and dictate who to help.

The 29-year-old singer in the tweet said that Nigerians who are in this habit are the people setting the country back and urged them to change their ways before advising others.

Teni wrote:  “I’m human first before any tribe, ethnicity, race or nationality. I choose humanity. I’m not blinded by religion either, I believe in God, and he is love.

“Don’t preach to me if you ain’t got love in your heart. Selfish muhfuckers wanna dictate to me how to spend my money and who to help. You’re part of the problem we’re trying to fight. Fix yourself.”

The online community later joined in the conversation, while some agreed with her, others who advised her to slow down were of the opinion that those advising her might have been doing so genuinely.
