Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag is now ready to look elsewhere in his pursuit of a top goal posher ahead of the coming Premier League (PL) season.

According to UK Guardian, the Red Devils who were initially all out to sign Tottenham striker, Harry Kane, are no longer interested in doing business with the north London club this summer.

Prior to this development, Ten Hag made Kane his first-choice transfer target this summer, as he seeks to add a potent striker to his squad for next season.

It is believed that the Dutch tactician was “obsessed” with bringing the Three Lions captain to Old Trafford because he is likely to hit the ground running due to his record in the Premier League and his knowledge of the league.

However, Man United are now ready to find alternatives having accepted that the England international will be too expensive and out of their reach.

The inability of the Red Devils hierarchy to bring in his top target left Ten Hag “disappointed”, but he understands United’s position and is aware the club cannot overpay for the 29-year-old who is in the final year of his contract with Spurs.

Despite the possibility of losing Kane for free, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is determined to keep him at the club with the hope that he will still sign a new deal in the coming 12 months and will not have to entertain the idea of selling him to a direct rival.
