Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag has insisted he won’t get sacked by the  owners of the club despite suffering a humiliating 3-0 loss to visiting Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Tottenham had a quick start during the encounter and deservedly took the lead in the first half through Brennan Johnson.

It got worse for Man United after their captain, Bruno Fernandes was sent off before the interval.

Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke then scored in the 47th and 77th minutes respectively to condemn the Red Devils to a second consecutive loss at home.

The result leaves Ten Hag’s men in 12th position on the log table after picking up just seven points from six fixtures.

However, while speaking after the defeat to Spurs, Ten Hag said he does not fear losing his job, adding that he,  the players and the board are sticking together.

He also said the owners of the club are aware it would take a while time before Man United can once again become a force to reckon with in the English Premier League (EPL).

He said: “I’m not thinking about being sacked, not at all. We all made the decision to stay together.

“Ownership, staff, players, myself. We made the decision from a clear review of what we have to do. We knew it would take some time. We are on the same page together.”
