Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has countered those accusing him of losing the plot after his team’s penalty shoot-out win over Championship side, Coventry.
The Red Devils took a three-goal lead in the encounter but it was wiped out after Haji Wright converted a last-gasp penalty.
Coventry then thought they had won the semi-final tie but their extra time goal was ruled out for offside after VAR checked it.
United went on to win the highly entertaining tie on penalties to set up another FA Cup final against city-rivals, Man City.

However, when asked whether it was embarrassing to win the match in the manner they did against a team who had lost three of their previous four games.
Ten Hag replied: “No, I can’t see that. At the end of the day it’s about achievement. I see the mistakes we make, but it’s not an embarrassment, it’s a huge achievement.
“[The players] see that there are mixed feelings. We allowed them to return to the game and it’s completely unnecessary.”
