Tems made the list after her song ‘Love Me Jeje’, was picked by former United States President, Barrack Obama

Nigerian music star, Temilade Openiyi, known professionally as Tems and her compatriot, Divine Ikubor, aka Rema, made this year’s summer playlist of former United States President, Barrack Obama.
The list which was released by the American 44th president on Monday, August 12, also featured South African singer, Tyla.
Obama picked Tems’ ‘Love Me Jeje’, Rema’s ‘Yayo’, and Tyla’s ‘Jump’ featuring Gunna and Skillibeng as his favourite African songs of the summer.

Occupying the number one spot is the song ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ which was recorded by Nigerian-American country music singer, Shaboozey.
Sharing the now-viral playlist via his X handle, Obama tweeted, “With summer winding down, I wanted to share some songs that I’ve been listening to lately – and it wouldn’t be my playlist if it didn’t include an eclectic mix. I hope you find something new to listen to!”
This year’s playlist as usual, featured songs from various artistes across different genres and continents.
